yeah im going to rant [08 Sep 2005|08:11pm]

first.. my ID story.. last friday i had to go to the attendance office to take my off campus picture.. they wouldnt take it until i turned in my old ID so i went everywhere looking for jarvis (we switched ours) so i could get it back.. got it back.. went back to the AO to have them tell me i can pick it up monday morning at my deans.. monday morning comes i go to my deans they said they need my old id in order to give them my new id. go to the AO to ask for my old id and they say they dont have it, they basically lost it. go back to deans, wait 20 minutes, have them think about what to do. had to go back to AO and ask them. i told them i wasnt going to pay 5 dollars for a new ID so i can just turn it in for another one, thats just unfair.. so the lady was like "oh wait i remember you!" and wrote a note.. back to my deans and THENN i finally got my off campus!

second.. physics.. i went through alot of stuff trying to get in that class as most of you know.. i was in then got out then got back in and now that everything is settled and im actually understanding and enjoying that class.. we find out that theyre going to switch some of us out to a new teacher because louisiana teachers need jobs! and sorry to sound like a selfish bitch right now but i mean i just spent the past 3 weeks getting used to mr gillespies super fast talking and i understand the way he teaches now. the REASON i took physics was because i had gillespie freshman year and liked it and now theres a chance i might get switched out?? GOOD LORD.

that.. and not getting to wrap the school.. and not letting the students come in through s1 in the mornings.. is all getting reaalllyy annoying. i hate castro. for the class that graduated last year- yall are so lucky. i cant wait to graduate.

IDs [29 Jul 2005|09:24pm]

[ mood | pissed off ]

It's getting to be that time again...(UGH!!! :S)

Mr. Castro, our new principal, has kindly decided to bring back the visible ID (on lanyards)! Major suckage, huh? Also, the dress code in place is to be strictly enforced. I'm not sure how serious he is about that, but I'm guessing much stricter than Van Beck. (I don't think it will stop people from breaking/bending the rules, but just sayin',) seeing as the IDs are being brought back out.

(He better not say "Hi!" to me either.)

That is all.

I hope everyone enjoys their 3-day weekend!

National Honor Society: I had lots of fun at the Middle School Debate Tournament. I think Ms. Elliot, the WHS Debate teacher appreciated everyone that came. I also heard that one of the judges asked for money in exchanged for "fixed ranking" and got $ from the kids who would be ranked 1st and 2nd place. Anyone know if thats true? (That's horrible if it is..)

There will be a meeting the Tuesday we return, January 18th @ 5:30 in the Mini-theater.

[10 Jan 2005|07:17pm]

Okay, it appears some people are a little late (like four frikkiing months) in getting the news: Yes, I am engaged. For those of you who did miss it, I'll repost this thing.

For all of you nosy people:

1) Yes, I am engaged.
2) You may not ask for an invitation to the wedding; it's going to be small.
3) Yes, Brie is 16, and I am 17.
4) Yes, my parents know, as do hers.
5) No this is not illegal. Marriage without parental consent is illegal.

And now a question for all of you:

Why does it matter? Let me be happy how I want.

[09 Jan 2005|03:02pm]

I hope everyone had a pleasant Christmas and New Year's holiday. I also hope that you are enjoying your first week back at school.

Westside would like to announce it's first choir All-staters: Brian Gibbs (Tenor 1) and Jake Weisinger (Bass 1) who won 5th chair placing them in the MENS All-State choir and were just barely edged out for 4th chair which would have placed them in the All-State Mixed Choir. They spent almost the entire day at Austin's Westwood High School. This is a tremendous experience and hopefully we will have more All-staters in the future. As you might now Jake was a bit disgruntled with his placement and is on the lookout for a judge from whom he recieve a particularly low score, by the name of Alex Medlock. Brian, however is eccstatic about the chance at this great experience.

The two will journey to San Antonio in February to enjoy 4 days of intense training, foods, music, and sight-seeing.

And I attribute 99.8% of their success to myself, as I was their cheerleader the entire day. :D
